Description:	'Crowned' is a joyous celebration of music for royal occasions and with royal connections. This is Trinity Singer's first concert under the direction of our new MD Simon Lovell-Jones. The programme is as follows: - Mathias 'Let the people praise thee O God' premiered at St. Paul's Cathedral for the marriage of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer in 1980 - Rutter 'This is the day' - Clausen 'Set me as a seal' - Tchaikovsky 'The crown of roses' - Walford Davies 'God be in my head' - Wood 'O thou the central orb' - Handel 'Zadok the priest' - Mozart 'Coronation Mass' Soloists: Zoë Maitland (soprano), Amy Campbell (alto), Phylip Nichols (tenor), Robert Marson (bass) There will be two solo items along the way, one from the young soprano Ella Phippen and one from our accompanist, Claire Alsop (Assistant Director of Music and Organist at St. Mary Redcliffe, Bristol). In addition to all these pieces, the choir is delighted to be singing a brand new piece entitled 'O charity, divinely wise'. This has been commissioned especially for us, and written by composer Nicola Edwards. It takes its words from Wrington's very own Hannah More's poem 'Ode to Charity', making it a very special and local premiere.
